The Gen on Gas Powered Scooters.

Published by Guest Author under Motorcycles

So, you have been thinking about getting a gas powered two-wheeler? If you have, gas powered scooters are probably the best machines to begin with. The majority of people who purchasegas powered scooters are worried about whether a gas powered scooter is street legal in traffic. This is not surprising ” every car driver has had the misfortune to get stuck behind a slow gas powerd scooter at some time or another and has wished that the scooter would get out of his way.

The speed of those gas powered scooters was virtually non-existent. However, modern gas powered scooters can keep up the traffic. It may not be recommend to take a gas powerd scooter or any scooter on the highway, but they do have the power to travel at high speeds, although the speed necessary to keep up with the flow of highway traffic may overwhelm a gas powered scooter. They are just not designed for sustained high speed travel.

Despite all this, gas powered scooters are almost the same as mini motorcycles. They can get up to a top speed of about 75 mph. That’s not so, is it? But it is just right for zipping around town like they were designed for.

As far as fuel economy is concerned, most gas powered scooters are able to accomplish 65 mpg, which is really quite exceptional millage. Furthermore, they usually come with a petrol tank that can hold about three gallons of gas, which gives them a range of about 200 miles.

Or to put it another way, if you used your gas powered scooter every day, every month you would probably have to fill the gas powered scooter up 3 to 4 times say, once a week, if that. If you compare that to a car’s mileage per gallon, it is probably between a fifth and a quarter of the cost, or even less if you are talking about big cars like SUVs. That is a massive saving with the way gas prices are bound to be going.

Gas powered motor scooters are also so very easy to operate. Owners will not have the problem of learning how to change gears as a motorcyclist does, as they are mostly automatic or semi-automatic these days. All the owner will have to do is: get on, turn the key and twist the grip for power. That is all you have to do and the motor scooter will take off in the direction you point it.

With regard to the issue of maintenance, maintenance for a gas powered scooter is pretty much like the maintenance on a motorcycle, car or truck. The motor scooters oil should be changed every 2,000 miles or so and a complete service should be done every 5,000 miles. This may differ slightly according to the manufacturers recommendations. It is recommended that one of the higher grade fuels be used for gas powered scooters.

It is of course up to you, but a general guideline is that 87 octane fuel is cheaper than all the other choices because the lower the number the less refined is the fuel, so it is therefore not as clean as 91 or 93 octane fuel. 93 octane has an agent added to the fuel that will help guard the moving parts of the engine and help to keep it clean over your gas powered scooters long lenth of service.

Last but not least, change the fuel filter often as this will help prevent muck and sludge from getting into the engine thereby causing deterioration and check the spark plugs every 2,000 to 3,000 miles and, as necessary, readjust the gap with feeler gauges. This should help preserve your gas powered scooter and keep it on the road giving great, inexpensive service for many years to come.

If you like gas powered scooters or are thinking about buying one, you should take a look at our recommendations first at: http://www.squidoo.com/gas-goped. This article, The Gen on Gas Powered Scooters. has free reprint rights.

Off Road 125cc Bikes Make The Right Learner Legal Thrill

Published by Guest Author under Motorcycles

“With a background in aviation manufacturing processes, it’s not hard to realise how Motorhispania are able to design motorcycles that are more robust, slicker yet somehow speedier than their counterparts.” – Quality Scooters

Sometimes having a nice looking on the road motorcycle just isn’t enough. I know for sure that I like to feel dirt beneath my tires and nothing is so satisfying as feeling my back tire dig in and kick off at a start over some loose track. Having the ability to let you feel this exhilaration is precisely the reason why the off road 125cc Motorhispania Duna SX learner legal motorcycle was designed.

You might be surprised to hear that Motorhispania’s early life actually evolved through a series of technological phases, one of which was devoted entirely to the aviation industry. With such a technologically advanced pipeline of R&D, Motrohispania were able to develop products with an edge that no other manufacturer in Spain could touch. The result was that early product designs from Motorhispania were sleeker, tougher and quicker than their counterparts and this is a technical advantage that has remained with the company throughout recent years.

Back to the 2010 DUNA SX. This is one of the company’s new off road learner legal 125cc motorcycles that is suitable for the UK market and let me tell you; it’s an absolute beauty. In true Motorhispania style, it is arguably one of the toughest true performers of the year, in no doubt down to the excellent technology that goes into the manufacture of these motorcycles but the good news for all of us is that these advances in tech don’t come at a price – either financially or perfomance-wise

No bike makes a statement with good design on its own though and the DUNA SX’s wide array of supplemental quality parts addresses this problem with style. Shock absorbing upside-down forks by Paioli and advanced ‘wavy’ brake discs by Tecme are just two of the brand-name and proven parts you’ll find in the DUNA SX. With all of these parts forming the framework of a great off-road motorcycle, it’s no surprise that throughout your ride, you remain in complete control of this 12 BHP bike – even at it’s 60 mph + top speed. A more than ample 7.8 litre fuel tank will give you more than enough fuel to see you through your weekend runs.

Bundle up these quality parts with an aviation technology ribbon and what you get is a nippy, solid and slick looking package at a brilliant price. It won’t be easy to find an alternative bike of the same quality in the same price-range as this. Wholly reccomended

Magazines About Scooters And Motorcycles

Published by Guest Author under Motorcycles

I have read loads of reviews about scooters and motorbikes, because I am a subscriber to a scooter and motorcycle enthusiasts’ magazine that carries articles about all the different sorts of scooters and motorcycles on the market. It also recommends the best one to buy depending on whether you are a first time owner or a two-wheeler veteran. The magazine is fantastic, and it helps me see what other scooter owners feel about the various models and brands of scooters.

I have to say that people’s views vary quite widely on every subject, which is why it’s probably always better to do your own research and get what best suits you, rather than getting what other people say will suit you, when they do not even know you. Having said that, many first time buyers do not honestly know what they are looking for, and it is really these people that these reviews are written for.

However, these reviews are not meant to be taken too factually, rather they are intended as a guideline so that prospective greenhorn purchasers have to ruminate about the aspects of buying a scooter or motorbike. It also gives experts a run down of the most important details. Then you need to make up your own mind whether you care, for instance, whether the scooter’s seat is made of leather or fabric.

All in all, I like this magazine because it considers people from all walks of life, and its writers and editor appreciate that even if you are interested in purchasing a scooter, you may not have enough money or you might be reading just out of interest in scooters or motorcycles.

We all know that money is difficult to come by these days, and purchasers are becoming more and more well-informed about the goods they want, which is a good thing in my eyes. After all, there are other merchants who only want to get the most money they can for their products and mark up their scooter prices to excessive amounts in the hope that they will get a couple of foolish patrons that did not do their groundwork.

And I am sure that they probably do get a few customers like that, because they do stay in business one way or another and I regularly hear awfulness stories about people who have paid far too much for their scooter or motorbike.

When you ask them why they did not take the trouble to read the reviews in a magazine, they typically say that they did not know about the magazines, or even worse, that they did not have enough time. Therefore it seems that they had sufficient time to work like a dog for the money, but then not enough time to read a short magazine review? I doubt it very much. With a bit of luck, consumers will continue becoming more and more cautious about their purchases.

It is such a pity, so, If you happen to be a new scooter fan, or you know someone who is, please make sure you read the scooter and motorbike reviews before concluding a purchase. It can literally save you hundreds or even thousands of your hard earned dollars.

Scooters For Mobility And Freedom

Published by Guest Author under Motorcycles

Mobility scooters, there are so many brands and models to chose from that researching and reading reviews can be confusing. An electric scooter can offer you freedom and pride without having to depend on help with others. Mobility scooters come in many capacities, colors or styles such as 3 wheel or 4 wheel. It pays to do your research and review you options before making that purchase.

Quite a few light capacity mobility scooters have a maximum load of 250 pounds. A certain amount of light weight models can be broken down into a few sections or folded for easy transport in a vehicle. Many high capacity electric mobility scooters may require an electric lift. Always check with your insurance before buying or making that purchase.

Most lightweight scooters are a three wheel design. These electric mobility scooters can get around in the house a little better including tight areas. Four wheel models can consist of more rugged designs and usually have a higher load capacity and are more stable. They are more likely to have a greater range due to design for outdoor use, but range can depend on many factors. Some factors to consider when your buy a mobility scooter is capacity, range and battery charging times.

Also consider range and charging if you have a short range you will be spending more time charging. At some point you may need to replace batteries. Over time a rechargeable battery will lose its ability to take a full charge and your range could decrease.

Expect a range on 3 wheel lightweight capacity models of around ten miles. With four wheel models the range can sometimes exceed 25 miles. It depends on the electric mobility scooter you purchase.

When you buy a mobility scooters you will need to decide how and where it will be used. Will you be using it indoors or outdoors? Will you be using it to get around indoors or to get around outdoors such as walking the dog or running errands down to the local grocery store or post office. Will you be carrying extra weigh on the scooter and need extra range? Things you have to ask yourself is how does a scooter make your life easier.

Tires are another consideration, pneumatic tires may be prone to punctures but are lighter than solid core tires and have more shock absorbency. The solid core tires are heavier and do not have the shock adsorbing ability of air filled tires and may give a stiffer ride but newer electric mobility scooters may have suspensions that compensate and alleviate the knocks and bumps of uneven surfaces. Pneumatic tires will need to be checked more often for the correct air pressure. Regardless at some point depending on how often you travel or use your scooter you will probably need to change tires and of course this will be determined also on the type of surfaces you travel on.

There are many things to consider when you buy a scooter for mobility. Always check with Medicare or your medical insurance to make sure your purchase is covered. Just make sure you have reviewed all your options and done your research before making that purchase.

Buy mobility scooters or new mobility scooters now.

How 50cc Mopeds Kicks Over The Rest Of The Competition

Published by Guest Author under Motorcycles

For lots of people, buying a 50 cc mopeds might seem like a great way to lower their expenditure, and save on transport costs. The cost of riding a 50 cc moped is much smaller than that of driving a car, and because of this reason many people may start to look into the idea of a 50 cc moped as a great opportunity to save money.

With expenses rising so high these days, one needs to have extra cash ready and the only way they can do that is to reduce some of their monthly expenses including gasoline. In that sense, a moped scooter will help them save money on transportation costs so they can have some extra cash they could rely on if there’s an emergency.

Because of this rising demand for scooters, there are a large amount of 50cc mopeds the sale almost everywhere you look. Many companies that usually make motorcycles, have now started to also make mopeds.

It is also possible to find many people who used to own a moped, who are now reselling it as a second-hand item. This is a great possibility, as it is possible to save money by buying second-hand instead of buying new. Although the advantage of having a new scooter, is that you do get a warranty with it.

The reason people usually go for a 50 cc moped scooter, is because they are looking to the cheapest available option when it comes to moped scooters. As I mentioned, buying second-hand is an option, but there are also some great deals that can be found at motorcycle dealerships and the like. The best idea is just a look as many different opportunities as possible.

If you do decide to buy a 50cc moped second hand, you have to make sure that it is in good condition first. For example, if you are buying a Yamaha 50cc moped, you have to take it out on a test run to find possible problems and have them taken care of.

And also is worth noting, that even if you had the fastest moped in your area, it would mean very little if the moped was full of defects, which you have not noticed when he first bought it.

So if you want to get rid of the car or truck, or even just are interested in 50cc mopeds I highly suggest you look into them some more. There are many different makes and looks of 50cc mopeds for sale and you are sure to discover one that suits you.

The Countryside

Published by Guest Author under Motorcycles

very weekend and on holidays we use to go to the country, where we have a little house. That’s the time we’re all looking forward to for a whole week. It’s just a cottage, with a garden, but it’s like heaven for us. We have the peace and quiet that we dream of, and the kids have the whole garden just for them, to play all day long.

The only problem that spoils this idyllic time is that we always discover something there’s something we miss in the kitchen, so I have to go shopping, and the nearest shop isn’t quite close, so I have to drive there. First I thought of buying a bike, but I’m not exactly the sporty type, so I imagined it wouldn’t have been fun to ride up the hill with a lot of stuff on my bike, so I gave it up. A few weeks ago, my wife gave me idea: what about buying a scooter? My son could use it, too, when he’s grown up a little.

I started looking for the ideal scooter, the one that wouldn’t be too fast, or too expensive, and, if possible, that wouldn’t use gasoline. I found a lot of models, but they were either too expensive, or not suitable for a kid. I was about to give up this idea, too, when something caught my eyes.

The Razor Pocket mod miniature looked like the perfect thing for me. I thought it was too cheap to be any good, but I had nothing to lose by giving it a try. My Razor scooter arrived in no time, and in completely assembled, so I just let it charge during the night, and in the morning I made my first ride to the shop.

Everything was smooth and I was more than happy with my purchase. My kid saw it and wanted to give it a try too. Even though I was a little concerned at first, he seemed to get the hang of it quickly, and he was driving around the garden in no time. Now he’s bugging me to get something bigger, so I can give this one to him. Kids…

Finding The Perfect Scooter

Published by Guest Author under Motorcycles

Scooters come in all shapes and sizes, from the small one suitable for children, to the larger one, great for tricks. If you’re just looking for a scooter to ride through the park, then you might be confused by this variety, and might end up choosing something that doesn’t fit your needs. Why spend more on something you don’t need or probably never going to use, or why spend less on a flimsy scooter, that’s going to brake after prolonged use.

There isn’t such a large range of models if you’re looking not only for looks, but also for durability. You’re not a kid, and you’re not going to use it for tricks, so what should you choose? You know what you want, but you’re not sure if what’s on the market is what you need. Just keep in mind that cheap items are so cheap for a reason, and no one is going to sell a product for less then it costs them to make. So what do you choose?

You cannot go wrong if you choose a well-known brand, solid, and good-looking. There aren’t so many options if you go for one of these, and they are quite expensive, but, hey, you deserve the best, don’t you? You’d better choose carefully, because you are going to spend a lot of time on that scooter.

The micro flex scooter is one of the best options. You can ride it in the park, or you can ride it to work, providing it’s not very far. Everybody could do with a little exercise, no matter how fit you are. The micro scooter, as its name suggests, can be easily carried in your backpack so you won’t have to look for a parking place.

While enjoying your ride, you’d better avoid that specific spot in the park where teens practice their tricks on scooters. They seem so easy. If you’ve watched them once, you’re hooked. You would want to do those flips and stunts, too. You know it’s not as easy as it looks, but who can resist temptation?

A Kid’s Total Freedom

Published by Guest Author under Motorcycles

While growing up, I used to play all day long with my friends, and even though I wasn’t very good at football, I still liked playing it. I had a certain hour by which to be home, but other than that, nothing bothered me. After a while, I started noticing that my friends were spending more and more time indoors, instead of playing with me outside.

I wanted to know why, of course, so I started paying visits to most of them and see what they’re doing inside. To my surprise, their activities included watching TV and playing video games. I tried to get them to come outside and play some football with me, but they showed little interest.

I had to complain to someone, and my parents had to endure it, until they told me they would get me something new to play with. I told them I wanted a bike, so I wouldn’t be bored alone, outside, but they told me I was too young. They also told me they had found something better, and to be patient.

A couple of days later, a big box was delivered to our house, and the big, red words Razor E300 Electric Scooter made me jump up and down with joy. After my dad assembled it, with me helping him, and after charging it, I decided to take it out for a spin. I was so happy with my new scooter that I told all my friends what I had received.

Since they all liked it, and there were too many of us for just one scooter, and I was afraid someone might break mine, I told them to get their parents to buy them one too. In a couple of weeks, the entire neighborhood was back to the way I remembered it, with all of us outside, having a lot of fun with our new scooters.

Why Must You Buy A Fuzion Asphalt Ultimate Carving Scooter?

Published by Guest Author under Motorcycles

Whenever I went to the park, I used to watch the kids doing tricks with their scooters. No wonder that my biggest desire was to have one of my own, and try all those stunts. My parents tried to convince that I need to grow up a little, and understand the value of money by working for it.

I told them I would do whatever it takes to raise the required amount, and I started doing different chores for them, and even for some of our neighbors. Even though it was tiring, I kept at it until I had enough money to buy one. My only problem was that it wasn’t enough to buy the model I actually wanted.

Even if it wasn’t the one I longed for, I was very proud of it, so I called all my friends to come and see it. They weren’t quite interested at first, but after a few days they came to try it on. They started with a short ride in the backyard, and in no time at all they fell for it, and wanted to have their own scooter, so that they wouldn’t have to share, and fight for mine.

I gave them as much information as I could about the best models, and soon everybody in my group had one. As I was the first with a scooter, they came to me anytime they needed their toy repaired, so I got some money out of it. Soon I had enough money for my dream scooter: the fuzion asphalt ultimate carving machine. This was perfect for doing tricks. I have become one of the kids showing off in the park, and my scooter has become the dream of all the children in the neighborhood. I loved the feeling of knowing everyone was watching me whenever I was riding it.

Doing tricks with my new scooter isn’t as difficult as I thought, and I have become really good at it. My friends look up at me, I’m happy that I’ve made my dream come true, and my parents are pleased that I have learnt something important: the value of money.

Cruising In Style

Published by Guest Author under Motorcycles

Scooters have become more and more common on the streets, and handled not only by children, but also teenagers and adults. While not having the same capabilities as a bicycle, a scooter can certainly help your child get to school faster, for example. Rough terrain still remains a problem for most scooters, as their smaller wheels can not handle it, but things are slowly beginning to change.

The different colors in which scooters come, make them attractive to both boys and girls. Perfect as gifts on all occasions, scooters will make your entire family say: “I want to try it too”. Just make sure they bring it back afterwards, or, just to be on the safe side, buy a couple of extras, in case of emergencies.

Children who are trying the scooter for the first time, and who have never ridden a bike before, will probably have some balance issues. However, it is a well known fact that children learn much quicker than adults, and so, they’ll be zipping around your driveway in an hour. The different models of scooters are for different categories of people, going from children (smaller scooters), to teenagers looking to do tricks (3 or 4 wheeled scooters), or for adults using them to get to work (electric scooters).

The Razor Scooter uses a battery powered motor to propel it, at a safe riding speed that is even suited for children. It is also foldable, making it easy to carry around, after use. The battery should be charged after every time the scooter has been used, just to make sure it will be up for the day ahead.

Electric scooters are a great way for your children to learn balance, because once they reach a certain speed, the motor kicks in, and they’re free to concentrate on keeping their balance, instead of accelerating.

The scooter is easier to use than a bike, at least for children, and offers the benefit of lower speed to keep them out of harm’s way. Always supervise your children while they’re riding it, just to be sure, and make them wear their full protective equipment. Better safe than sorry!

FYI: Try to make things manageable on your self, check out http://electricricecooker.org and discover help and advice related to (a) electric rice cookers.
