New helmets nowadays can protect the face of the riders from forceful wind, blasts, debris and bugs. The helmet also protects the ears from wind noise. Today, helmets for motorcycle riders are usually made from fiberglass, carbon fiber or Kevlar and polycarbonate plastic. The structure of the helmets allows the shell compress on impact. When the helmet compresses during an impact, it instantly disperse the force throughout the helmet and reduce the pressure on the head.
A lot of motorcycle riders nowadays choose not to wear helmets if they will be given an option despite the risk of motorcycle accidents and the innovation in the designs of motorcycle helmets. Due to this fact, a lot of countries all over the world decided to make wearing a helmet mandatory by including it in their law. The law will help encourage the motorcycle riders to wear safety helmets while driving motorcycles to avoid head injuries.
