There are some things to keep in mind when buying Motorcycle Insurance. You get to choose a deductible that you can afford to pay, if you have a claim. Choosing a higher deductible amount results in more inexpensive motorcycle insurance. They will not pay until after you do, so keep that money in the bank so it will be there is you need it. When you do suffer a claim, Comprehensive and Collision will be there to cover the loss, and it does not matter who was at fault.

Your Bodily Injury and Property Damage Liability just went into action and paid the bill, for the amount under the total limit you set up when you bought the policy. Remember when you choose liability limits that if the bill goes over that limit it could cost you everything over that, even your other assets.

During all that chaos, you got injured and for the next three years you are under medical care. This is when your Medical Payments Coverage goes into play and pays for the expenses, as long as you are not in a state that requires your other forms of insurance to be exhausted, first. By the way, there is a maximum limit that this coverage will pay, so ask lots of questions about how this works.

Another example of how it can be one of those days when you have a roadside breakdown, mechanical of course. You call the number on the card the gave you, they call you back to say there is a truck on the way from the nearest qualified repair shop. Not a problem, your Roadside Assistance policy just kicked in to pay the tab, and you will not pay a coin to be back on your journey. Hey, after you have left you get stranded in the snow and mud, water all around with sand mucking up the mix. You are within 100 feet of the roadway, with a trailer behind your bike whose wheel locks up. Still no problem, your coverage steps up to pay for the rescue. Around the clock coverage is what you paid for, and you only paid a solitary George Washington a month for this coverage.

Here we go with another story about how you decided to customize your rig and it looks just too cool, man. However, something went missing so you turn in a claim. You got it, your Accessory coverage just took care of the loss. Now you are glad you bought that extra.

All of the above scenarios never actually happened, and there were no animals, fences or people injured or destroyed. Just a little mind trip down the road of possibilities for a person who needs Motorcycle Insurance to consider, if they want to protect themselves with the proper coverage.
