Whoever was on the receiving end of the phone didn’t matter, but the eZee bikes are here. Actually I have been on the phone with Bert an hour earlier when he told me this is the big day. The store closes at 7 o’clock, and it was early afternoon. I probably would leave early but I still couldn’t wait! So he told me to come into the store, leaving around four. The bikes need a bit to tune them up, so i gotta leave early. I live in Long Island, which is a couple hours away.

Shanghai is the country of origin of these eZee bikes, and Mr. Ching is the brains behind the project. Many people found the bikes already overseas in the United Kingdom, where a distributor named 50Cycles reigns. There are now 2 importers of eZee bikes in the United States: NYCeWheels and EV Northwest. I have been the unofficial new product tester for Nycewheels for the past year – a rough job but someone has to do it. Job security is a huge thing, and now that the eZee bikes are coming in, and seeing how excited Bert was about the shipment, I will be doing this for a long time.

After all that planning, or lack thereof, I still was way late getting to the shop in New York. Long Island is a hard thing to navigate during certain times of the day. Oh well. I will of course go back soon to spend a few hours on every single eZee bike. I got to check out a couple of bikes for maybe a quarter hour, and here are the ideas that I jotted down.

It would take a while to really get a hang of what these bikes are working with, so now is not the time for a complete review. You’ll have to wait.

The bikes are most righteous. The parts are a dream and it was really easy to ride and get around. The batteries were awesome too. All eZee bikes come with a choice of NiMH or Li-Ion batteries/chargers. They all rock the same type of battery carriage and you know they are cross compatible. The racks, bike lights, and fenders all are custom equipped. EZee bike has you taken care of. Put a cell phone holder on there too if you’d like. Make your electric bike into a mobile hotspot if you like. There are many different types of ways to light up the roadway. You can work with battery powered, or maybe even use a separate battery that is just in the light.
